fuel gauge not working
check ground on fuel tank
There typically isn't a separate fuse for the fuel gauge - it's a shared circuit, and you'd lose a lot more than your fuel gauge if that circuit lost continuity. If your fuel gauge isn't working, you're more likely looking at a bad fuel sending unit, not a fuse.
Yes, there is a fuse for this. It should be labeled INST.
A blown fuse can cause your fuel gauge and speedometer to stop working. Replace the fuse. The fuse can be found in the fuse box. The location of the fuse will be listed on the inside cover of the fuse box.
I have the same problem, Audi have told me to check sender unit in fuel tank, if this doesn't show up anything then they will put it on their fault reader which could point to to a faulty fuel gauge pod. have you solved your fuel gauge problem yet ?
you need a new fuel level sensor,
In most cases the fuel gauge sending unit inside the fuel tank is at fault.
It could be a fuse or the fuel sending unit. On that vehicle the fuel sending unit can be accessed by removing the rear seat.
yes
I had this issue for about two years..It stopped working..I took it to the Dealer and they blew me off by saying that the line is shot and it would cost $700 to replace and they talked me out of it... But there is an underlying issue when your guess gauge is not working- your fuel pump is going..Like I said it took two years and bam, fuel pump went. When they replaced it by gas gauge began to work again. This line is tied into the both the gauge and fuel pump..It cost me $1,000 from the dealer plus towing...
No it is not working.
