This happened to me as well. It started after a breaker blew. The way I fixed it was to disconnect the tv from a power source for about a minute, then plugged it back in. Hope that helps!

This questions is not really clear to me.Do you want to correct a dark projection screen in a rear projection TV or are you talking about a real projection screen? Thanks for clarifying.Otto TrommBeamax

Picture bowing and bending on a projection TV is usually caused by an out-of-spec power supply voltage that is not providing sufficient voltage for proper screen deflection. Seek qualified service for this unit.
A portable projection screen can be purchased in person at Best Buy, OfficeMax or Staples. One can also purchase a portable projection screen online at Amazon or eBay.
The CRT refers to cathode ray tube. This is the oldest of the varous TV types. More recent developments have been projection, plasma, etc.
A motorized projection screen is used for a number of uses but is mainly for hiding away when not in use. They are used in meeting and conferences for presentations and also for home projections such as picture slides and movies.
I don't think so. The projection screen is basically a white tin plastic
If you are planning on giving a lecture or presenting something to a group of people you don't have to use a projection screen, you could just use a blank wall, but having an actual screen is more professional. The screens are designed and created to give you the best picture quality possible whereas using a wall some of the sharpness of the picture will be lost. There are multiple kinds of projection screens (portable, manual, electric and rear) so if you plan on buying one you will need to research what will work best for you.
