There really isn't a way of breaking this. She wants to protect you and your family. Schnauzers tend to be protective until they get to know this "stranger" that comes near you. You can try holding her and letting her sniff the "stranger" or try letting the "stranger" bend down with their hand extended and once she sniffs him/her let him reach around and gently pet hers ears. They love that.
Very protective over family. Will bark at people on the street. Loving to owners. Loyal but each dog has a different personality.
Schnauzers and Pinschers are very closely related but a Schnauzer is not a Pinscher.
