- It is normal to lose some hair whether brushing; combing or showering, but if it a lot of hair less she could have the start of Alopecia which can cause some bald spots to loss of hair on especially the top of the head. If this is the case she should see a specialist by seeing her family doctor. Dying hair; blow drying and heat as well as environmental factors can make hair dry and break off. If your sister is dying her hair have her stop!
