It is normal for a temperature gauge to go up a little bit until the thermostat opens up and the cooling fan comes on. As long as it is not going out of the normal temperature range it is fine.

Why does the temperature gage on 97 Buick skylark goes from center line to L of NORMALl back down to just below center as you drive?

Probably a sticky thermostat. It's getting ready to fail so you should probably replace it ASAP.

Just replaced your radiator now temperature gage goes up to three quarters or higher then comes back down to mid range what could cause this?

it is possible that you have a faulty thermostat or you have air pockets in the new radiator when the new coolant was added

The temperature gauge in my 1997 Monte Carlo is fluctuating it will get to about 200 degrees when your stopped but when you take off it goes back down what is causing this?

This fluctuation is caused by common use. The temperature will be higher when the vehicle is idling because there is no air moving over the engine like it does when the car is in motion.
