Dead battery or dirty/loose battery connections.
Probably a bad ignition switch.
Your truck will not turn over when the key is turned if the battery is dead, the ignition switch has failed, or the starter is bad. All can be readily repaired at a local mechanic or dealership.
turn the key to the on position then pump the accelarator 3 times then turn the key off then start ur truck
my 97 doesent either solution ; turn key again.
put the key in the hole and turn
try a fuel filter change first
turn key on, hit gas three times, turn key off ,start truck it should be cleared
Try graphite or lock lubricant
Read closely, This will take 33 mins. to do. Get in your truck with a watch, Turn key to start mode and as soon as you here the starter, turn key loose not off. Then wait 11 min. no more and no less 11 min. only After 11 min. turn key off, then repete the same steps 2 more times. Then after the last step is done, turn key off, Then start truck, Your done. If truck don't start. Then repete all the steps again, to make sure it was only 11 min. each time. BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING CHECK THE SECURITY FUSE IN FUSE BOX.
Turn the key on to the "run" postion, (key on, engine off) and step on the gas pedal 3 times within 10 seconds and then turn the key off. Then, turn the key on and start the truck. After it starts, the change oil light will flash and then reset.
sounds like you missed a wire replacement when you put the starter back on
