It's not the reservoir; it's the connector that is leaking. Either the seal is bad or the connector is cracked. It could also be the pump itself - they do wear out & sometimes leak. If you remove the tank, drain what fluid is left and connect just the pumps. Fill the tank w/ water - I did this in my laundry tub. Cover the output lines w/ finger & thumb - you may see water slowly escaping from the small slits toward the base of the pump. There may already be signs of rust or blue residue from the fluid built up around them. If you see any of this, replace the pump (or both pumps) and the seals - they are cheap. If you are in a pinch, you should be able to swap the pumps (front / rear)for the time being IF the rear pump is still O.K. This will allow you to fill the tank so windshield will wash - just don't fill above rear level as it will still leak there. Replace pump as soon as you can. If while replacing/removing the battery and the battery was sat on top of the washer reserviour, it could have ruptured the bottle. It can be repaired by removing and sealing the crack or hole with a good silicone sealer. The battery, battery box and left front fender lining needs to be removed to access the window washer reserviour.
Look for where the flu I d is leaking out. Repair or replace as required.
