To remove the carbs from a Kawasaki Ninja ZX6, first ensure the bike is off and cool. Disconnect the fuel line and any electrical connections, then remove the airbox or intake ducts to access the carburetors. Loosen the clamps securing the carbs to the intake manifold, and gently pull the carbs away from the manifold while being careful not to damage any gaskets or hoses. Finally, lift the carbs out, ensuring all connections are clear.

To set the timing on a 1990 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder one. Then, align the timing marks on the ignition rotor and the case, adjusting the ignition timing if necessary using the timing adjustment screw. Finally, check the timing with a timing light while the engine is running to ensure it’s within the specified range. Always refer to the service manual for specific timing specifications and adjustments.
