Addis Ababa is the capital city of Ethiopia and is the largest city with over three million residents. Addis Ababa is considered a charter city as it is classified as both a city and a state due to its large size.

While Ethipoia may not be at the top of most peoples lists of ideal vacation locations, Addis Ababa is in fact, a great place to visit as it is steeped in Africas history! While you are there, you can visit United Nations Economic Commission for Africa as well as the African Union. Meskel Square is also a popular destination as it plays host to the Meskel Festival every year. There are also a variety of shops and restaraunts that provide visitors with the local styles and tastes.

Addis Ababa is a great destination for anyone who loves history and learning about new cultures! With so much to do, this is a great vacation get away!
