Using self tanning creams is the healthiest way to get a tan. First, make sure you use a cream as opposed to a spray. Spray self tanner is very difficult to put on and to make it look even and real. Also, before you apply the cream, exfoliate your skin. You will feel better and the tanning solution will apply more evenly.

To prevent your hands from turning orange, either wash them every five minutes while applying the cream or wear latex gloves. Ten minutes after you are done, apply lotion to your elbows and knees to lighten the effect and blend it all together.

Which tanning spray product is the best and least harmful?

There are two basic types of spray tanning products. One type is done at a professional tanning salon where you enter a booth or have a person spray the tanning product onto you. There are also tanning creams you can apply at home which can be a bit easier to apply. Can you still tan in a tanning bed if you are wearing self tanner?

Yes, you can still tan in a tanning bed while wearing self-tanner, but the results may not be as effective or uniform. Self-tanner typically creates a temporary color on the skin, which can interfere with the tanning process, potentially leading to uneven coloration. It's advisable to wait until the self-tanner has fully developed and faded before using a tanning bed for the best results. Additionally, keep in mind that self-tanners generally do not protect against UV exposure.

What+is+a+good+self+tanner+of+do+I+need+to+go+to+a+tan+salon+for+the+best+look%3F?

i think aveda makes the best self tanning lotion but its a bit expensive. i guess its still cheaper than tanning salon though. The best result I ever had was from going to a salon that also did the 'rubbing in' the self tanner-it looked the best, lasted the longest, and I had the least amount of 'leakage' onto my clothes. Jergens Natural Glow lotion or foam works really well and you get darker every time you use it and doesn't streak. The bad side is it doesn't smell that great, but no self-tanner does.

What are the contra indications that will prevent self tanning treatment?

Self-tanner should only be applied to healthy, unbroken skin. If a person is allergic to any of the ingredients, they should not apply self-tanner. Indeed, it would be wise to do a small patch test, just to be sure there is no reaction before applying it over large areas.
