I have lived in Birmingham all my life.

I find it very interesting in many ways, it’s history and ongoing development is fascinating.

There are excellent shops and tourist destinations and a vibrant nightlife.

Of course not to forget the theatres and concert theatres, and The Botanical Garden and the canals.

Home of numerous pop groups and singers, ELO, Moody Blues, Ozzy Osborne, The Move, Spencer Davis Group, Dexys Midnight Runners to name a few.

There are graveyards with some very famous people of it’s past, including Chamberlain,( In Hockley) who was a wartime Prime Minister.

The recent Metro additions along with the revamped Railway station and multiple bus services make it a breeze to get around. Not to forget the increasing cyclist and taxi methods too…

The HS2 is being built there at the moment.

Hockley, the world famous jewellery quarter is just outside the city centre with easy access also.

It is a diverse and multiple city with a very friendly Brummie accent also.

I always take my camera whenever I go to the city centre or it’s suburbs to try to capture a bit of it’s essence.

Take a visit, you won’t forget it…
