Coping with anxiety is different for everyone. If you have the time, take a walk to ease some of the tension from your body. Sitting down with a good book to keep your mind occupied is another way to deal with anxiety in your life. Start a journal to write some of your thoughts through the day, or talk to a counselor about problems you have concerns about.

Dealing With Stress

Being a parent is one of the most difficult jobs in the world. There is a lot of stress involved with trying to have control over your own life, while also trying to provide guidance for your children. Here are some ways for you and your spouse to deal with the stress and live your life.

Make sure to exercise together. Running or doing cardio for an hour each day can help you feel better because you are spending alone time with your partner, but also releasing serotonin. If you challenge each other to a game of tennis, this will help keep your youth by showing your competitive edge. Exercising can also just keep you in shape and increase positive thinking habits.

You also want to make sure to find a babysitter in your neighborhood. There are many children who would love to watch your kids and make money on the weekends. Hire the same babysitter so they know your expectations. That way, you don't have to worry about your children the entire time and you can enjoy yourselves.

Marriage can sometimes be stressful because every day seems to be the same routine. There needs to be some excitement and spark in your life. Do something spontaneous together. Make a goal that you will both go skydiving or seek some type of adventure. If you do not feel that ambitious, you could do something you don't usually do. You could go Bowling, learn to dance together or even see a thriller movie. Sometimes changing the focus of your stress is better than stressing about the same things all of the time.

Fresh air is sometimes the number one stress reducer. If you have a patio outside of your home, grill out and have a glass of wine together. You could also make a campfire in your yard, or sit in the hot tub. Whatever relaxes you should be your main focus during non-working hours.

You may want to consider a couple's massage. There is nothing better than being able to lie next to your partner and have someone else rub the kinks out of your back. You could both just close your eyes and relax and let the stress fade away.

Lastly, think about vacationing somewhere together. Leave your children with their grandparents or a babysitter. Even if you can only afford to leave town and stay in a hotel for a night. It is better to leave a stressful situation and come back to it when you are well rested, rather than allow the stress to continue to eat at you.
