While it doesn't necessarily require studs to install I would suggest you do because depending on the weight of your TV if it is not screwed into studs it could rip out of the wall.
Pound your 2002 Suzuki left front wheel studs out. You will need to pound in the new studs in the same manner that you removed the old studs.
Studs are normally on 16 inch centerlines, so, with 16 feet being 192 inches, you would need 12 plus 1 (for the starting stud) plus 2 (for the top and bottom plates) per wall. That is 15 studs per wall. Multiply that by 4 and you get 60 studs for the room. This doing not count framing for doors and windows, nor does it count studs for the floor and ceiling. If you get 16 foot studs, you can use 8 for the caps, leaving you needing 52 studs that are 8 foot long, so you would need 26 16 foot studs to make the 52 8 foot studs. The total required studs, then, is 34 16 foot studs.
Well, the only thing you need to do is to get and save the studs that you get.
If there are no windows, doors or partitions in the wall and no corner walls on the end you will need 13 studs, 24 feet of bottom plate and 48 feet of top plate.

there would be 24 studs, but this does not include the bottom plate, top plate(s) or the necessary tie-in at the corners of the wall It's actually 25 studs, you need to add one for the end. This is providing you have no partitions, windows or doors in wall. And as mentioned above if you are going to tie-in to another wall or two you will need extra studs. You will also need 96' of plate material.
According to specs, it will hold up to 174 lbs. It comes with its own screws, but yes, it should be screwed into studs.
