Leather fashion is best when less. When wearing leather, you want the piece to give your look punch, not serve as a punchline.

When people think of leather fashion, they often jump to stereotypes. Bikers cruising down the street on their hogs, the Village People, or 90's rockers in leather pants. That's what springs into most people's minds.

So try limiting yourself to one or two pieces, and stay away from the full body leather look unless you actually are riding a motorcycle or signing YMCA. A simple belt and purse combination can give any look the leather edge without the awkward stares.
