In the course of earning a Fine Arts degree, students draw on resources such as art galleries, apprenticeships, guest speakers, and advancing technology.Most Fine Arts degree programs require a portfolio which students create under the guidance of an advisor and use after graduation as a representation of their body of work.

Fine Arts Colleges

Online colleges also offer in depth Fine Arts degree programs.One example is the Academy of Art University located in San Francisco, California.In addition to the evening and weekend programs they have developed, AAU offers full- and part-time online degree programs in Advertising, Animation &Visual Effects, Computer Arts, Fashion, Illustration, Photography and Fine Arts.AAU was founded in 1929, and all of their online degree programs have the same regional accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges as their campus programs.
