Ford's Fish Shack is one of my families favorite restaurants to go to on a night out. It is perfect for a dinner date with my husband and it is also a great place to take our kids too as well. Don't let the know "Shack" fool you! Ford's Fish Shack is far from a shack. They manage to create a really comfortable, fun, fast pace environment. If you go for dinner, they are always pretty packed, so I would recommend calling in and making a reservation, especially if you do not want wait around for over an hour for a table! Once you are seated though, everything seems to flow pretty fast. Their servers seem to be all over the place, and always right by your table when you need them. We went to Ford's for dinner last night with the whole family. They have a really great children's menu. I appreciate that they have more than just two or three choices for kids. They offer a solid eight choices for kids meals ranging from mac and cheese to salmon and sirloin. My youngest had Chicken tenders. The meat was very soft and she scarfed them all down. My other two kids enjoyed the batter fried chips and the petite sirloin. Both of the meals looked delicious and unlike at home, I did not have to ask them to finish their food. They all cleared their plates all on their own. I ate the fish tacos. They were so fresh and tasty. Plus they came with a side of salsa and guacamole. It also came with fries. My husband ordered the mussels and oysters. I have to admit, they were so good I ate some of his as well. The kids love the blueberry lemonade! It is really fresh and flavorful. I really enjoy ordering the blueberry lemonade sometimes too, although last night I indulged in a margarita. They manage to make all their drinks taste really fresh!
