Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef 1 ds Onion powder
  • 1/4 c Grated cheese 1/2 c Bread crumbs
  • 1 tb Oregano 1 tb Parsley
  • 1 ds Garlic powder 2 Eggs

Mix all ingredients together and form balls. Coat a large skillet with non-stick olive oil spray. Fry meatballs for about 10 minutes or until nice and brown. Store in an airtight container & refrigerator until ready to use, or drop immediately into tomato sauce and cook until sauce is heated through.

Fried Ravioli

Everyone has a favorite local Italian joint but recreating your favorite dishes at home can be super easy. Fried ravioli is a great appetizer that will impress your family and crowds. Little will they know it only took minutes to whip up!

Ingredients

Olive oil

1 egg

.5 cup buttermilk

2 cups Italian-style bread crumbs

1 box frozen ravioli (24)

Directions
  1. Pour enough olive oilinto a large frying pan about 2 inches in depth (a deep-fryer can also be used).
  2. Mix buttermilk and egg with whisk until smooth. Place breadcrumbs on a shallow plate.
  3. First dip ravioli in egg then bread crumbs. Move quickly so ravioli do not defrost too much.
  4. Place ravioli in hot oil about 3 minutes until golden brown. Remove with slotted spoon and place on paper towel.
  5. Serve hot with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.

This is a super easy sauce that can serve as the basis for many dishes. If you want a thicker sauce, add some tomato paste. For a pink sauce, add some heavy cream. It really is a versatile base for you to build off of!
