Nope, but there are a few common sense things that you can do, such as avoiding things that are breaded or fried and instead choosing foods that are steamed or baked, foods that include a lot of veggies and food that do not have a high amount of cheese or heavy sauces on the meals. Don’t Be Afraid to Turn Down Elements If you want most of a meal, but one thing is not working for you then go ahead and skip on it. If the loaded mashed potatoes are going to ruin your calorie count then go ahead and change them for the string beans. If your meal combo is not really that bad, expect for the free dessert, then feel free to turn down the flourless chocolate cake and have a meal that is more in sync with your plans. Most restaurants will accommodate the request without too much of a fuss for you. Skip Steps to Cut Calories If the appetizer is not working for you, because it is hunks of deep fried cheese, then you can just skip it. Let the other people at your table enjoy it, or if you are alone with one understanding soul ask them to change it out for something more healthy, or to simply box up half of it. Then slip that box into your companions bag as a nice gift that keeps you from eating it all. Now you have it. These three tips may not make eating out the healthiest thing that you can do for yourself, but it can help to make eating out less of a burden on your weight loss plans, without turning your meal into a stressful ordeal or making you look like a weirdo in front of everyone that you are eating with. Just make good choices and you can enjoy your food without putting too much pain into your life. So go ahead and enjoy your next meal out!
