Skype is used by over 660 million people across the globe to stay connected. It's a great program that offers free Skype to Skype voice and video calling and reasonable rates for calling landlines and cellphones. Setting up a conference video call using the program is not hard and it costs absolutely nothing.
1. Download Skype - Skype is free to download and works on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Once you have the program downloaded, you will need to create a free account. The person or people you are attempting to video chat with will need to do the same.
2. Find Your Friends - Once you have installed the program and you have it running, you will need to perform a search to find your friends. Have them share the username they chose with you for finding them easily.
3. Create A Group Chat - Open a chat dialog with a friend and then click the button "Add people". This will allow you to add up to 24 other people to your conference video chat.
4. Initiate The Call - Once everyone is added, click the green "Call Group" button. This will dial everyone you've invited to the call and once they pick up, you will be able to hear and see them, provided they have a camera and a microphone installed. Skype calls can last as long as you like as long as everyone is on a computer and is connected via Skype and not landlines or cellphones. Conference Calls With Landline & Cellphone Users Currently it is impossible to see someone who is using a landline to connect to the call, though you will still be able to hear their audio. For smartphone users who have the Skype app installed on their phones, video conferencing is possible just as if the user were connected to a computer. However, data charges may apply and large conference calls could rack up charges fairly quickly if the user does not have unlimited data. Smartphone users can find the Skype mobile application available on the main Skype website, in addition to the Android & iTunes marketplace for easy downloading to connect to friends.

Web conferencing is when multiple people join in a simultaneous phone/audio/video conversation. Typically a single person initiates the call by using a conferencing system (i.e. Skype) and inviting the individual participants to the established call. Another option is for a conference "spot" to be established in advanced, an invite with code sent to the invited participants, and then the participants call into the conference spot at the designated time. When all members of the conference have joined the call, video meeting room or other virtual messaging space, the conference takes place with the same etiquette as an in-person conference.

if you havent yet added who you want to talk to on your contacts, go on your skype accont and click on 'contacts' at the very top of the page. click on 'add contact' and type in thier full name/email/skype name/phone number(phone numbers aren't always recorded). send them a skype request and they can add you. to call someone, you both have to be on skypeat the same time. double click on the persons name when they are online and click either on 'call' or 'video call'. to do this you need a microphone, and with video you also need a webcam. if you dont have these on your PC then you can get them from a computer store. once you select what type of call you want to do, the person should get a message. if they accept it, you can do your video call. i hope that this helps! :)
