The Marine Corps accept the GED as the educational requirement in a maximum of 5% of their enlistments. People with a GED must score a minimum of 50 on the AFQT to be considered.
yes, you can go to college through the Marines. but afterwards you automatically HAVE to serve for 4 years i believe
Royal = United Kingdom- England? Yes, they allow Gays to serve, have for years.
Wilson never served in the Marines, or any other branch of the US military.
the majority of enlisted MARINES DO NOT WANT THE REPEAL.. It WOULD DRASTICALLY AFFECT THE MORAL ... PRIDE AND TRADITION OF THE CORPS... THE MARINES HAVE A PROUD TRADITION OF OVER 200 YEARS TO WHICH THEY HAVE PROUDLY KEPT.... THE FEW THE PROUD ..THE MARINES....
Altogether, 8 years. Personally, I only know the specifics for active duty, which are: you can serve 4 years active, 4 years reserve OR 6 years active, 2 years reserve OR 8 years active.
When you enlist, into any of the military services, you are signing a contract for the next SIX years. Most Marines spend four years on active duty and two years on inactive duty. Reserve Marines spend two years on active duty and four years on active reserve. This consists of monthy meeting for one weekend and two weeks of training each year. But with Bush's war now going on you can pretty much figure all six years active whichever way you go.
Turns out the last fool was lieing, after further research i found that you can be and they have allowed gays to serve for years. It is a part of the royal navy...lol
Depends on your perspective. You can't serve in both branches at the same time, but you could serve in both branches within the span of your military career. Let's say, you do an enlistment in the Marines, get out, a couple years later, you want back in, and you end up joining the Army. The Marines claim "once a Marine, always a Marine", and, if this is true, someone who did what was described above (enlisting into the Army after serving a stint in the Marines) could technically be both.
US Draftees were expected to serve two years of active duty, one year in Vietnam, if sent there, and four years in the marine or army active/inactive reserves; six years total.
The least amount of time that you can enlist in the Marines for is three years.
First of all, marines are in the Marine Corps and Soldiers are in the Army. But to answer the question, it depended on many factors, the most important of which is ther terms of the individual enlistment contract. Draftees could anticipate at least two years in uniform, while enlistees would normally serve a 3 to 4 year term. A more important factor is where someone served. Almost all the combat troops in the Marines served in the Pacific Theater, while most soldiers served in Europe.
Question is unclear. If you only serve only 30% of the 8 year sentence, you would serve 2 years and 4 months. If you mean you were having 30% knocked off the 8 years, you would serve 5 years and 6 nmonths.
