Jeju, South Korea is a popular island located at the southern tip of South Korea. The climate is mild, almost tropical; the beach season is from May to October. Access to the island is by plane or boat and transportation on the island is by public transport, taxi, or by renting a car or bicycle.
The beaches and scenery make Jeju what it is but there are many other attractions. Since it is such a popular tourist spot the accommodations are very good. There are many gardens both indoor and outdoor and even a lava tube to tour. There are of course festivals and museums but the natural environment is the chief drawing point of this island paradise. Jeju has been compared to Hawaii for good reason, the climate, beaches, and fauna are very similar. Some of the other attractions are sculpture parks, which have to be seen to be believed, and a miniature theme park that has replicas of many famous world landmarks.
Jeju, South Korea has natural beauty, a pleasant climate, superb beaches and caters to tourists. For an alternative to Hawaii that is a bit more exotic, Jeju is an excellent choice.
