To fit a door slider to a VW T4, start by ensuring you have the correct sliding door kit and all necessary tools. Remove the existing door by unscrewing the hinge bolts and disconnecting any wiring. Position the new slider onto the track, aligning it properly, and secure it using the provided hardware. Finally, test the door's movement to ensure it opens and closes smoothly.
You arrange the sliders on the door in the same pattern as the disks on the ground. First slider (from the left): move to the bottom. Second slider: move to the top. Third slider: move slightly under the top one... between top and middle. if the door isn't open already at this point, then Fourth slider, move under slider 3. Once they are in the same formation as the floor, the elevator doors will open.
I had this just happen to me also...we had to take the door panel off on the inside and now have to move the mechanisim manually until I can get someone to replace the latch in the back of the slider door...it's a real pain in the butt...

Try checking the handle on the inside of your slider. I have this problem with my slider. If the slider gets opened from inside the villager the handle sticks amd the slider wont close. I suggest using white lithium grease to help free up any stickyness of the handle. There also a possiblity that you have an item in the track on the slider, check that too.

This rocker causes my slider door to lock and unlock. Hope this helps! This answer is correct!!
