Locals within the town of Prescott, AZ prefer to pronounce the name PRES-skit. Arizona Governor Rose Mofford designated Prescott, AZ “Arizona’s Christmas City” in the late 1980’s, and it is also the “The Cowboy Capital of the World”.

Within the town of Prescott, AZ can be found the Sharlot Hall Museum which houses much of Prescott’s territorial history. Local collections can also be found within the Smoki and Phippen Museums.

The Palace, Arizona’s oldest restaurant and bar is found on Whiskey Row. On Whiskey Row buildings that have been transformed into boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, and bookstores can also be found.

For Golf lovers the Palms Course at Palm Valley is exquisite. The Phoenix Business Journal has even rated the course among Arizona’s best public courses.

With tons of things to do in Prescott, AZ tourists and visitors usually do not have to waste any time trying to come up with things to see and do.
