To make bread crumbs in a food processor, it's best to use the standard metal S-blade or chopping blade. This blade effectively slices and breaks down the bread into fine, even crumbs. For coarser crumbs, pulse the bread in short bursts to achieve the desired texture. Always ensure the bread is dry for the best results.
'Pangritata' often referred to in Italy as 'the poor man's Parmesan' - I believe this is basically bread crumbs flavoured with garlic and herbs and fried in olive until golden and crisp, ...taste great and add a lovely texture to pasta dishes...enjoy!

One slice of bread typically yields about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of bread crumbs when processed in a Cuisinart. The exact amount can vary based on the type of bread used and how finely it is processed. For best results, make sure to break the bread into smaller pieces before adding it to the food processor.
Depends on what flavor you are looking for but I sometimes add garlic powder, parmesan cheese and a small amount of basil if I am serving an italian dish.I just add them to my dough as I am kneading.

Ficelle is a French bread and ciabatta is an Italian bread, so its almost a trick question, chicken pesto would be some kind of concoction of chicken, basil, olive oil, pine nuts, Parmesan, and garlic. So essentially a gourmet chicken sandwich with notes of basil.
You can make breadcrumbs from any kind of bread, but fine breadcrumbs require white, not wholegrain, bread. It helps if the bread is a little dried out because then it breaks into crumbs more easily. Slice your bread thinly then dry it a little in an oven - but not so long that it goes too hard. Then you can either place it in a paper bag and hit it with a rolling pin to break it up, or use a food processor.
