If you don’t have any furniture of your own, you could avoid the cost of purchasing it by getting a furnished apartment. As long as you don’t mind the designs of the furniture you’ll be provided with, you’ll have a good start.

You need to make sure that you know exactly what is included in the furnished apartment you are interested in. Some apartments are only models, and the furnished ones won’t come with as many things as the model apartment you tour. You might have a lot of furniture, or you might have the bare basics. Think about the things you already have before you decide to purchase a furnished apartment.

One of the negative things about a furnished apartment is that you can’t pick out the designs and things you want. If you aren’t partial to your place looking a certain way, this might not bother you. Also, you don’t know how much use the furniture has had before you moved in. Pets could have been lying on your couch, or your dining room chairs could be so old they fall down when you sit. In the same sense though, if you plan to buy used furniture in order to save money, you won’t know what that furniture has gone through either. You might end up having to buy new furniture anyway.
