Providenciales is a magnificent island in the Turks and Caicos. Out of all the many islands, this one is the most developed for tourism. Many refer to it simply as Provo.

You will find italian, mexican, and island restaurants. Try the jerk chicken and the fried conch. There is even a conch farm on the island that you can visit. The kids might enjoy it.

The museum has an exhibit on shipwrecks. It is said there are hundreds in the waters surrounding the Turks and Caicos islands. The museum spotlights two of them. The kids will love seeing some of the recovered treasures.
