Qingdao is a beautiful city found in the southeast section of Shandong Province in China, stretching from the foot of Lao Shan Mountain to the shore of the Yellow Sea. Korea and Japan are east of the city, across the Yellow Sea, which makes it an important player in the international trade in the area.

This beautiful city boasts many interesting attractions. One of these is the Qingdao Botanical Garden, which is composed of more than 1,000 types of plants, both foreign and domestic, including some rare and endangered varieties. In the same area, one can find the Qingdao Zoo, the Zhansan Temple, and an amusement park for the younger visitors. Also well known are the amazing beaches on the shore of the Yellow Sea.

Those interested in the architecture of the area will find some surprises. There is a French Villa on the side of Taiping Mountain with several small buildings available for one to view. Qingdao Tianhou Temple, built in1467, is now used for the study of folk art of the area. Another site famous for its construction is the Qingdao Underwater World, which consists of the Qingdao Aquarium, the Qingdao Specimen Hall, and the Freshwater Fish Center.
