Defrosting ribs in the microwave is not recommended, as it can lead to uneven thawing and potentially harmful bacteria growth. Instead, it's best to defrost them in the refrigerator for safety. Once fully thawed, you can cook the ribs in a crockpot for tender, flavorful results. Make sure to follow proper cooking times and temperatures for optimal safety and texture.
Barbecue, such as ribs or pulled pork, is great out of a crockpot. Crockpot chili is always an option. A soup, such as chicken noodle, minestrone, split-pea, or pasta fagiole is a good choice for winter.
