Disadvantages of Online Classes

• Demanding- Online classes can be challenging and fast-paced. Not all students are focused and motivated enough to take classes from home. So, if you have poor time management and organizational skills, this option might not be a good fit for you. When you take online classes, you must be able to prioritize all of your personal obligations, so you can stay on track with school.
• Limited Interaction- You will interact with your instructor and peers online or over the telephone. Depending on the course requirements for your major, you may never meet face-to-face with your instructors or peers. Although this is not a problem for all students, some students prefer having face-to-face interaction with others.
• Mandatory Requirements- You must have a reliable computer and internet connection, in order to take online classes. You may also need to install certain software programs onto your computer to access your online classes. In addition, you will need a printer (unless you want to leave home to print documents that you need for your classes). Keep in mind that you will have to pay for these items on your own.

Whether or not you should take online classes is really up to you. As you can see, there are advantages and disadvantage of taking online classes.
