Being diagnosed with any type of personality disorder doesn't necessarily require checking into a mental health facility. Antisocial Personality Disorder can occur as early as age 15, when individuals begin to foster wayward propensities such as lying, cheating, stealing, manipulating and/or exploiting others, and do so without remorse. Aggressive and violent behavior usually escalates into the criminal type. Causation can be attributed to increased testosterone levels that cause aggression, which stands to reason that more males are predominantly affected by this disorder. In terms of treatment, there is no magic potion. The condition usually peaks in males during their late teens to early twenties, and growing out of it may be the only remedy.

Bipolar disorder is often measured in individuals by sporadic mood swings, where the highs are mania-driven and the lows are abysmal. This personality disorder is indelible; brain chemistry is compromised by the misfiring of synapses that can result in overstimulation and exhaustion within a matter of hours. A combination of consistent and constant therapy, support, education, management, and medication are all integral parts of stabilizing this condition.
