So you have a toddler and it's time for Halloween. With so many sweet choices for toddler costumes, it's important to remember a few things. First- comfort. Some costumes look adorable on your little one but may be itchy or otherwise uncomfortable. Also you have to make sure the costume is not so flimsy that it won't keep your toddler warm enough. You also have to be careful that the toddler costume doesn't have anything on it that the baby could pull off or otherwise hurt them with. When shopping for your toddler's costume this Halloween, keep in mind that babies grow fast, so try to keep size in mind. Often times, stores run out of a lot of choices early in October, so shop early if you can. You can find lots of adorable choices in stores as well as costume shops and online. Whether you choose a little bitty lady bug, or a tiny baby Baseball player, be sure to keep safety and comfort in mind. Another thing to remember is that costumes for toddlers can be expensive. Think about how much you want to spend before going and looking for a costume. Toddlers are rough on their clothes and are growing extremely fast. Anything you buy will probably be too small in a few months. That is what makes toddler costumes different than other costumes. You can't necessarily use them all year long if the child grows out of them. They won't even work as play clothes. For that reason, choose something simple. You might want to invest in fairy wings and a wand and buy a genuine leotard and Ballet slippers. Accessories can be used over and again and might give you the best bang for your buck when it come to toddler costumes. You might also look around the house and see what you have already in dress up clothes that could work as a princess, a fairy, or a star wars Darth character.
