Xian is a city that is rich in Chinese cultural history. As the seat of power for several ancient dynasties, Xian had an enormous impact on Chinese culture for hundreds of years. The city is now the capital of Shaanxi province, though tourists will find many attractions to visit.

The world-famous Terracotta warriors originated in Xian, and currently over 7,000 soldiers and horses and chariots, guarding the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, have been unearthed. The excavation site is still ongoing, with many new statues being unearthed each year. Also located within the city is the famous Great Mosque. The Great Mosque is among the oldest and largest mosques in the country today. What makes this complex unique is that it is designed with Chinese architectural styles, instead of the typical Middle Eastern building styles.

Plenty more attractions are present in Xian, including a history museum and sections of the city wall. Any tourist visiting the city will enjoy its cultural history and unique heritage as the once-proud capital of China.
