Zune pass is cool because you can aggregate all your music onto the Zune platform. So even if you have music on iTunes or grooveshark, you can have it all in one place with zune pass.
Whatever songs that you get when you have the zune pass you keep.
Zune pass is kind of a card through which people can enjoy music on Pc, Xbox etc.
If you want to get the Zune Pass, the cost is $15 a month.

You do not need the zune pass to use the zune. Yes, you can just download off limewire. It's easy, just drag the songs you want into the zune software!!!!!!
You get to keep 10 songs.
No, Zune Pass is completely optional. The player functions 100% the same way without it.
Obviously not.
I have a zune and the only way I get my music is from ripping from my own CD's. I was thinking of buying an iPod touch 16g and using itunes to now get my music. But, also, i have heard that i can pay $15/month to get unlimited downloads until your subscription is cancled. I was wondering, what would happen if I wanted to get Zune Pass for a month, download all the new songs I want from zune pass, and convert it to itunes. Would the conversion work? Edited by y2kss66: It is possible to convert the zune pass music into .mp3 format, which would in effect strip the DRM and allow it to continue working after ending the subscription, but doing so would require stripping the DRM off the files which is illegal because of the Digital Millenium Copyright Act.
You don't have to pay for anything with the Zune. You have the option to purchase music just like iTunes and any other music service or subscribe to Zune Pass. However, if you rather rip your own CD's or download illegally, there is nothing that will stop you.
