Having an appropriate price structure is very important as it is a very competitive market out there and customers are fussy about what they are paying. Having the correct price is also important in attracting new customers as if the business is lower on price than another business then the customer would prefer to pay less for the same item. However it is all good being the cheapest but it still doesn't mean you will be successful as if the price structure is wrong then you will forever be making a loss and will run the business into the ground as you will never make any money on any of the products / services. Also by giving relevant and accurate estimates for jobs is vital as no job is the same even if the name of it is; such as 'changing a clutch' as all cars are different and require more or less parts to be removed etc so that you can get to it. This makes it important to price the job on hours done on rather than a fixed price for the job.
