The obvious answer is not always correct. I've had Amazon have me revise payment method multiple times on credit ad debit cards that had no issues. In fact whe I called the debit and credit card companies they invariably told me, that Amazon request information confirmation which it got, but never followed through with the purchase. In other words Amazon unilaterally decided to not accept the purchase and made the banking institution look like the culprit. Is Amazon harvesting credit cards with this under handed maneuver? All I know is I'm not trusting Amazon with my purchases anymore.
