One of the differences is that a diploma in accounting from a certified institution will make you an "Assistant Accountant". Also you cannot be an auditor with a diploma.

Post graduate diploma only can get after a undergraduate degree, while you can do diploma after your high school.
And undergraduate is someone who has a high school diploma and is enrolled in college but does not have a bachelor's degree yet. An associate's degree (AA = associate of art) corresponds generally to the first two year of a four-year bachelor program.
The diploma programs are shorter term as compared to the bachelor's degree and typically very career oriented to give students all the expertise necessary for entry level positions immediately after completion. The diploma program does not meet the credit or curriculum requirements of the bachelor's degree because of its design and purpose. A bachelor's degree can take between 120 and 128 credits to complete where a diploma program may take 33 plus credits.
You can't compare the two.
The majority of the time the two words are interchangeable. Degree means, at the minimum, a Bachelor's degree from a University or College. One could receive a diploma for finishing any number of technical college courses or other programs.
