There are many carriers now flying the Sydney to LA route which for years was dominate by Qantas. At present the carriers include: Qantas V Australia United Delta Airlines Of the above carriers the picks would have to be Qantas who fly the A380 on the route or V Australia who are flying new 777 craft. United and Delta fly much older craft on the route. Personally I would choose Qantas due to the potential Delta joint venture with virgin which could see them sharing aircraft on the route. In the case of Qantas the Flight Numbers to look for are QF93 and QF94 to find the A380 operated sectors. See the related link below for complete listing of all routes and schedules flown by the A380. Includes schedules and routes for Qantas, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Air France (from Nov09).
There are no direct flights from Cork to Sydney or Cork to Los Angeles, so you would need to take a number of flights to get to either of them if starting from Cork. However, Sydney is much further from Cork than Los Angeles is, so it would take much longer to get there.
There are no direct flights. Your best bet is Sydney-San Francisco or Sydney-Los Angeles, then take another flight to Cancun, Mexico.
The flight distance for direct flights is 7,488 miles.
