Answer You can't carry ANY liquids of ANYkind on ANY flight to or from the US or Europe. It is illegal and they will believe you are trying to make a bomb to blow the plane out of the sky. Answer You are allowed to carry liquids in your hold luggage. Generally Europe/US allows liquids in containers no bigger than 100ml/3.4 oz to be carried in hand baggage and issue small plastic bags at the airport. You put your liquids in this and take them out of your hand baggage at x-ray for screening. This is intended for toiletries however as the quantity is so small. All other liquids need to be packed in the hold luggage. There is an exception which is liquids and Alcohol bought after the security check in the airport shops, this is sealed in clear plastic bags and can be taken on board by hand. In Europe it must be bought that day and the dated receipt is put in the bag with it. When you are connecting through somewhere you may lose anything you buy above the 100ml limit so make sure you buy it at your last point of departure. See sites below for specifics on limits and check before you fly as regulations can change.
