The 'Friendship plane' was a Fokker Tri- motor that was to be flown over the Atlantic by Wilmer Stultz in 1928. Amy Phipps Guest was to have been the first woman across the Atlantic as a passenger in it. Her family objected and she asked for another woman to volunteer to do this. Amelia volunteered and got the position as first woman passenger to fly the Atlantic. This is when she met George Putnam, her future husband , who organised this flight.
It was Fred Noonan
1937 was Earhart's last flight
She was a passenger to publicise the idea of women flying.
She never went to Bermuda Triangle.
5000 miles Amelia Earhart flew across the pacific
Some of her hobbies were reading, and playing the Banjo.
Fred Noonan , a professional navigator, was the only other person with her when she disappeared.
She flew the Atlantic solo in 1932. -(no co-pilot)
The First friendship flight, a Foker trimotor with floats-She functioned as a Forward Observer, did not actually or at least officially pilot the craft. on the other hand she mad a solo flight in l932 in a Lockheed Vega, also named the Friendship.
Amelia never had an aircraft called 'Friendship'. -You may be thinking of her 1928 flight across the Atlantic in a Fokker Friendship flown by Wilmer Stultz. This was NOT Amelia's aircraft and as far as I know it did not have a name. Sounds like you need to pay more attention to detail in your reading.
Amelia Earhart's role on her first transatlantic flight was to maintain the plane's log. Earhart disappeared on July 2, 1937 and was declared dead 2 years later.
I believe Amelia's greatest achievement was her solo flight over the Atlantic in 1932. - ( that is just my opinion, many will have other opinions.)
