HTML is client side. JSP is server side.
HTML provides a means to describe the structure of text-based information in a document - by denoting certain text as links, headings, paragraphs, lists, and so on - and to supplement that text with interactive forms, embedded images, and other objects. HTML is written in the form of tags, surrounded by angle brackets. HTML can also describe, to some degree, the appearance and semantics of a document, and can include embedded scripting language code (such as JavaScript) which can affect the behavior of Web Browsers and other HTML processors.
The JSP syntax adds additional XML-like tags, called JSP actions, to be used to invoke built-in functionality. Additionally, the technology allows for the creation of JSP tag libraries that act as extensions to the standard HTML or XML tags. Tag libraries provide a platform independent way of extending the capabilities of a Web server. JSP is alot like php.

Servlet is more faster than JSP, but JSP is more convenient than Servlet and JSP is clearly superior, shorter, simple and easier to use. JSP can be perceived as Java in HTML code. JSP require no explicit compilation as like servlets and can keep in the web application server as HTML file. The web application server in turn compile the java code in JSP and load it in its library for future execution. Servlet can be perceived as HTML in Java code. The servlet is the class file, which would be loaded in the web application server as a program. The program output will be directed to the outstream object which in turn direct to the client as HTML elements.
DHTML combines HTML, JavaScript, the HTML DOM, and CSS.

what is the difference between ERD and UML Flowcharts.
The Difference between JSTL and JSP is that, JSP lets the person add embedded Java code into HTML pages. Also JSP allows the person to define their own tags. JSTL is just a standard tag library provided by Sun to carry out common tasks.
JSP and HTML are similar in some way or other. JSP is one which has work on Java Programming as well.
You can make HTML pages and JSP pages for web attractiveness. JSP pages offer additions features to it.
The main difference between ASP and JSP is that JSP is more script like and includes Java, whereas ASP does not. Both of these are server side languages.
You cannot. A JSP Page contains a lot more contents than just HTML. It contains JavaScript, Java Scriptlets etc. So a HTML cannot be directly converted to a JSP unless someone sits and adds the other contents to the JSP that makes it a JSP
JS stands for JavaScript whereas JSP stands for Java Server Pages. JS is a scripting language that can be used in HTML and other Web related UI pages whereas JSP is a full fledged technology which is used to build complex and powerful UI web pages. JSP has support for JS too.
"script" is an HTML tag used to include JavaScript on a web page. Example: <HTML> <body> <script type="text/javascript"> document.write("hi there"); // javascript interpreted by the browser </script> </body> </HTML> "Scriptlet" is a JSP construct used to include Java in a JSP page. Example: <HTML> <body> <% // this is a scriptlet response.getWriter().write("hi there"); // Java executed on the server %> </body> </HTML> Here the result (an HTML document with the text "hi there") is the same in both cases, but the mechanisms are different - Javascript runs in the browser (any browser), while the JSP scriptlet is executed on the server and needs a server with JSP support. There are several ways to use an HTML button to go to a web page. You can keep it simple. This example uses "page.jsp" in the same directory as your HTML page for your target location. You can use the following code:
The main difference between JSP hosting and other kinds of hosting is simply the use of Javascript. While some things may differ between the different types, there are also a lot of similarities.
