A 1986 Ford F150 starter won't stuff off when the key is turned off if the ignition switch is jammed. This will cause the start signal to be sent to the starter continuously.
sounds like a bad timing issue
Does it have a remote starter? Defective ignition switch?
92 f150 fuel shut off switch located
Most users of the fuel pump shut-off switch is near the starter button in a location where a thief would not find it. You can hear when the fuel pump switch is turned on and of course when turned off there would be no noise.
The switch is located on the passenger side kick panel forward of the passenger side door. Hope this helps!
bad soilinoid on starter

It should just be plasic clips that hold it shut.
In the passengers footwell , by the right front kick panel
Maybe a bad starter. Try starting it cold then shut it off before the engine gets warm and see if it starts back up. If so the starter could be in a bind from the heat the engine puts off metal expands when hot and contracts when cold. Repacing the starter might solve the problem.
