When ws the last time you change it?
It might have some rust inside from the hyd. liquid. Take it to the mechanic
Better hope it is not a drum brake- it was originally equipped with a disc brake caliper.
rubber section of brake line to caliper clogged and in need of replacement
The main cause of uneven wearing brake shoes is a sticking or stuck caliper. Check to see if the caliper is releasing properly all the time.
The brake caliper may not retract properly due to issues such as a stuck piston, worn out seals, or debris buildup. These issues can prevent the caliper from releasing pressure on the brake pads, leading to brake drag and reduced braking performance.
The brake caliper may not be retracting properly due to issues such as a stuck piston, worn out seals, or debris blocking the movement. These issues can prevent the caliper from releasing pressure on the brake pads, causing them to drag against the rotor.
Your bike brake may not be releasing properly due to issues such as a misaligned brake caliper, worn brake pads, or a loose brake cable. It is important to inspect and potentially adjust or replace these components to ensure proper brake function.
would not try to rebuild. buy new ones. if you don't you are just asking for continuous brake issues/problems.
Had a similar problem. The culprit was a flexible brake hose. It was restricted and it would let the oil under pressure to the caliper but wouldn't let the oil back after the brake pedal was released and it kept the caliper pressurized.Had to replace the hose.
Not adjusted properly Parking brake not releasing fully Frozen caliper
Your brakes may not be releasing properly due to issues such as a malfunctioning brake caliper, worn brake pads, air in the brake lines, or a faulty brake master cylinder. It is important to have your brakes inspected and repaired by a professional mechanic to ensure safe driving.
Remove the wheel from the car. With a big screw driver pry on the caliper placing the screw driver between the caliper pistons. This will collapse the pistons allowing you to remove the caliper.Remove the caliper pin retaining spring.Remove the caliper pins.Next remove the brake pad retaining clips, found in the middle of the caliper.Remove the brake pads.Remove the two bolts holding the brake caliper in place. Now you're able to remove the brake rotor. An instructional video has also been included below.
Collapse caliper(screw driver to pry caliper apart), remove brake pin plug, remove brake pin, remove pads, reverse for install
