Will the pick up coil in a distributor keep you from hearing the fuel pump run a couple of seconds when you turn the ignition on in a 1993 Taurus 3.0 you replaced the ECM and the ignition coil?

No. The fuel pump should run for 2 seconds when the key is cycled from off to run, regardless of whether there is a problem in the ignition system or not.

97 gmc 5.7 vortech 4x4 that has no spark. what could be the problem?

Could be the ignition coil, distributor, distributor cap & rotor or even spark plugs and wires.

How do you replace ignition coil integra?

this is possible but you need a spare from a donor vehicle so i only recomend replacing the whole distributor. i had a problem with the sensors in distributor. the whole distributor is built as a one piece unit. meaning all parts of the distributor are integrated in such a way that the only thing that can be removed is the ignition coil, BUT it is not meant to be replaced by itself. it is designed for replacement even if one thing on it fails, and that is an indicator that the whole thing is gonna fail. REPLACE THE WHOLE UNIT. if you look on eBay you can get a NEW one for under 200.

What causes a car to back fire?

Typically a problem with the ignition timing. Possibly a bad rotor or distributor cap.

How do you replace an ignition on a 1991 Honda Accord?

Save yourself a lot of time and frustration. If you are having starting issues (cranking but no start) you probably have a spark problem. I just dealt with this on my 91 Accord. I replaced the plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, coil, ignition control module. After a little more research I found out that I should just replace the entire distributor instead of trying to rebuild it. There is a problem with the wiring. A new (or remanufactured) unit fired my car right up

What can be the problem of a 1994 Chevy Suburban 1500 will not start even though spark plugs coil and distributor replaced and there is no spark?

Is it a brand new distributor ? If not then replace the module and pick-up coil in the distributor that you have.

Would a 1998 Chrysler Sebring Coupe 2.5 engine Lxi have a relay for the ignition that will go bad and not let the engine have a spark Got gas and good battery Don't know if it could be coil or relay?

Car is running now. I replaced Distributor, which has ignition coil built into it. And that solved the problem. Thanks ankyways.
