Is it a brand new distributor ? If not then replace the module and pick-up coil in the distributor that you have.
Since the spark is produced in the distributor, that may be the part is defective. I'd suggest pulling your codes first though to see if any problem is indicated.
Even though you replaced the coil, it may be bad. You should test that first. If the coil is okay, it could be that the ignition wires need to be replaced.
I've seen it done. I looked at an old Suburban for sale that had the engine replaced with a 96 5.7. The owner selling it owned an auto repair shop. I can't remember name of his shop though.... Sorry.
the problem is in your high beam switch. there is a short in it and it needs to be replaced
I have a 1996 D R and have the same problem. Apparently the flasher switch needs to be replaced.
Technically speaking, probably not. The problem is that the license is actually the property of the State which issued it to you. It is NOT yours. It should not be difficult to get it replaced, though.
You need to replace the starter relay. I do not remember were it is on that year SORRY.
I had the same problem with my Camaro (also a 99). The alternator was beginning to go and it was arcing. I had it tested and the problem was so small the test did not register the problem. As soon as I replaced it though, everything worked fine.
we can i don't know if we are though.... its hard to answer..... we will just have to wait and see.
I have the same problem... I dont know what to try as there are no indications of an O/Speed control button. Though the problem might have something to do with the steering wheel controller that was replaced to accommodate a new head unit.
Does it have fuel/spark/compression?
the difference between the two is one is 4 wheel drive and the other is 2 wheel drive that's it. Don't know which one is which though.
