When the car shakes n it on the correct its becsuse its out of timeing
If the automatic transmission car jerks when accelerating and the dash does not indicate a gear, there is a problem with the transmission. Check the shift solenoid.
You may have a broken engine or transmission mount.
I had mine rebuilt for around $1,700 using non OEM parts.
I have the same problem; so far the problem seems to be in the transmission. Maybe the gear that drives the speedometer gear, won't know without taking transmission apart.
check fluid transmission for correct amount.
Your transmission is "sticking" sometimes a fluid and filter change can resolve this problem for a short time however is this does not help there is a solenoid in the trans that needs replacing any transmission shop can preform this solenoid swap relatively cheap and most have the capability to diagnose this problem for free
My advice would be to have the transmission fluid and filter changed. If that does not correct the problem you need to have the transmission rebuilt by a professional.
A clunking noise when shifting gears on a K1500 automatic transmission, might mean a problem with the drive axle or drive shaft. Check all U-Joints to make sure they are working properly.
There is a redesigned transmission vent that should fix this problem.
i have a 1991 sovereign xj6 and i have the same problem, BUT the gauge would show correct levels when accelerating
Is it heard through the radio? That's a common problem with them, and there is a service bulletin out for some of the years to correct it.
blinking overdrive light indicates a transmission problem. take car to a transmission mechanic
