Hi, The answer I hhave in my '97 service book is the with wire is the hot all the time. Steve H.
is the orange wire always hot
It should be light green with a yellow stripe, it is hot for the memory. The yellow with black stripe is for ignition.
The radio was wired wrong. Sounds like the hot wire for the radio was connected to the hot wire for the headlight switch.
Have you check the fuse if so and that isn't it it could be the constant hot wire broke from the battery.... hope this helps
Don't know the color of the wire but you will just have to use a test light to see what wire is hot to the radio.
What is color for hot wire on a 1996 mazda b2300 truck for radio
the radio is actually right above your gas pedal, and the hot wire plugs in the bottom The actual radio guts in models 88 - 94 was above the gas pedal and the part in the dash was similar to a wired remote with display....the radio in a 95 and newer is all in the dash. You need to remove the trim panel (simply pops off but watch your headlight switch) there will be two tabs on the radio and you push these down and pull them out. The "hot" wire is on the back of the radio It is the outside wire on the biggest portion of the plug. What was orriginally three plugs in 88 was changed to one plug. Answer I just changed the radio in my 98. The constant flow hotwire is the yellow wire in the harness. The red wire is the interrupted flow wire which turns on and off with the key.
It may be that the "Hot wire" is connected to the Hot side of a fuse in the fusebox.
With the radio wire harness where you can get to use a light probe to find a wire with power to it, ignition key off. That will be the always hot wire that is used to power the memory that remembers stations when the radio is off, it should be yellow. Make note of which wire that is. Then with the key on probe the connector again for a second hot wire, it should be red. That will be the one I would think you would want to use to power your CD player
Chassis is ground (neutral) in a car. The two hot wires are for the radio and the light. Connect the smaller wire to the dash light circuit and the larger wire to the accessory circuit.
What it is, is your power ant. wire is hooked to your remote(control) wire of the Amp.To fix this disconnect it and connect it to the remote(control) wire. If you dont have a output labeled as this connect it to the hot wire for the radio. (do not connect it the the constant hot wire there will be two different wires)
