My 2003 Ford Explorer and my heat does not work I turn it on but it only blows cold air. Also when I take it off cold to turn the heat up it's starts making a ticking sound like something is knocking? What is this problem? When I turn it back to the air, the ticking noise stops.
This is the exact same thing on my 04 explorer, Does anyone have an answer?
You need a Blend Door Actuator.. They are fairly cheap at Autozone or Advanced Auto Parts. The hard part is getting to the blend door. You have to remove a section of your dash. The actuator is located on the drivers side where your right leg would be if you were sitting in the vehicle. I wouldn't pay to have it done. I just replaced mine. You just have to be patient and remove one bolt at a time until you reach it. hope this helps!
its broken

When your cosmic catch starts ticking, it's essential to stay calm and assess the situation. Check the source of the ticking to determine if it's a sign of impending danger or a harmless quirk. Ensure you're in a safe environment and, if necessary, seek assistance from those experienced in handling such phenomena. Finally, document your experience for future reference and to share with others who might encounter similar cosmic events.

It's making noise because the harddrive is loading or something. Which makes it go slower because it's loading.
If it randomly starts making loud sounds and there is no reason why - it is hurt, scared ect. - then there is probably something wrong.
