According to one of Fords websites : For a 1989 Ford Thunderbird , 3.8 liter V6 engine : The spark plugs are gapped at ( .054 inch )
One on the bottom of the radiator, and one on the oil pan.
According to my Chilton's Auto Repair Manual : For a 1989 Ford Thunderbird : 3.8 ( 21 U.S. gallons ) 3.8 SC ( 18.8 )
5 x 4 x 3.45
The engines do not share the same bellhouseing bolt patter. If you had a 3.8 it would be a bolt in, the 5.0 and 3.8 share the same bellhousing pattern. The 4.6 has a bellhousing all its on. Baumann performance does offer an adapter plate to make them bolt up though. If you want a 5.0 just change the engine and trans out of a earlier T'bird , but good luck finding the 5.0 motor mounts for the 89 and up birds.{they are very hard to find}
There are several different "Bosch" spark plugs that don't need to be gapped (actually gapping them will damage them) that are perfect for Ford Thunderbirds!!!
where is the flasher located in a 1990 thunderbird supercoupe
It is 10 Nm or 89 lb-in for Isolator bolt, plenum bolts, and throttle bolt.
You need bushings in the bottom door hinge. You might have to remove the finder to get to it. You might trying to go to a you pull it and find a good hinge from a 89 to 97 Thunderbird or Cougar. It would be less work.
