On a 1988 Ford Ranger, the fuel pump reset switch, also known as the inertia switch, is typically located in the passenger compartment. It can usually be found on the driver's side, near the kick panel or behind the glove box. To reset it, simply press the button on the switch if it has been tripped. Always consult the owner's manual for exact location and instructions.
