check your Transmission Fluid. if it is not low, when is the last time you changed your filter.
Sounds like you have a busted linkage somewhere
Most likely it is. I have had several neutral safety switch issues before, and it sounds like what happened to me. If you put it in reverse do the reverse lights light up? If not that is also a safety switch problem.
Sounds like the Neutral Safety Switch is malfunctioning somehow. It is supposed to allow starting in only neutral or park. It may need replacing or simply an adjustment.
I have a 1992 Chevy berretta 3.1 V6 and when it is in park and reverse and neutral it sounds like there is a grinding noise right below the shifter I know that the linkage needs adjusting any ideas
Sounds like your neutral safety switch. When you depress your brake, a cylinder in the shifter mechanism releases and allows the gear change. I would bring it to a mechanic, and get it inspected.
sounds like a broken motor mount,
Sounds like a torque converter issue, have it checked at a transmission shop
Sounds to me like the tranny is gone...Your reverse gears are the last to go. You can try some of the Transmission Medic Fluids they have out....but it wont repair what is already gone it just might help you get it to the shop or the junk yard!
It sounds as though your safety neutral switch has to be adjusted. It has an adjustment kind of like screw that you can adjust. I suggest having someone that knows what they are looking for on it to do it. I had my safety neutral switch replaced and it did the same thing until I took it back and they re-adjusted it.
Sounds negative to me.
it sounds like the tranny reverse is gone and you have to replace the entire tranny
Sounds like a neutral safety switch. Did you make sure it was in park or neutral? Did the neutral safety come unplugged somehow? Sounds like a neutral safety switch. Did you make sure it was in park or neutral? Did the neutral safety come unplugged somehow?
